22 UP GIRLS BN NCC

01 PL of 03/22 COY UP NCC started in the college during the academic session 2009-10 under the guidance of Capt. Everest Shiwach. Capt. Everest Shiwach completed PRCN course in 2011 and refresher course in 2018 with 'A' grade from the NCC Officer Training Academy Gwalior. She has been awarded Commandant’s Silver Medal for standing second in Order of Merit. In this three year course, 60 cadets are enrolled every year.

Camp Description

All cadets attended the combined Annual Training Camps (CATC) at different locations i.e. Bhagat Lines, Meerut, D.N. Polytech. College, Meerut, 17 Rajput, Mawana Road Meerut, SSNGIC, Meerut, BBSMIC, Meerut, and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University, Meerut. During these camps, cadets won prizes in quiz, poster making, drills and sports competitions. Cadets Babali and Sonam Som won Gold Medals in the Mini Marathon organized by the NCC, Meerut Group. Cadet Srishti Gupta and SUO Pooja Chandna received the Best Cadet Award in CATC.

Cadet Babali participated in Special Mountaineering camp at the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling, West Bengal in 2015. 30 cadets participated in the Inter Group Sports Competition Camps, organized at the state level. 15 cadets participated in the Pre-TSC camps. NIC Camp has been attended by three cadets at Silchar, Assam in 2015. EBSB camp has been attended by four cadets at Jhansi, UP in 2020.UO Muskan Sharma received the Best Cadet Award in EBSB camp. Army Attachment camps have been attended by five cadets. Military Hospital Attachment camps have been attended by six cadets. SUO Nikita participated in Pre-RD Camp I, II and in Special National Integration Camp at Port Blair. Cadet Parul participated in TSC 2019. Three cadets participated in the National Tracking Camp at Namchi, Sikkim, Assam.

NCC Scholarship

Cadet Nikita (2015) and Cadet Laiba (2019) were awarded a scholarship of Rs 6000 under the Cadet Welfare Society by DGNC, New Delhi. SUO Pragya Choudhary was granted scholarship worth Rs 3500 on account of the II Best Cadet award in 2018 by DG NCC, New Delhi. Cadet Swati Gupta was awarded a scholarship of Rs 1200 on account of Chief Minister Scholarship by the UP Govt.

Social activities and other celebrations

Cadets have participated in various social activities including the AIDS awareness campaign, Anti-Drug Rally, Blood Donation Camp, Pulse Polio campaign, Sawachh, Bharat Abhiyan, Sadbhawana Yatra and road safety awareness campaign organized by the college and the unit. Cadets have also made society aware of social activities like saving water, tree plantation, decreasing the pollution rate and waste management by performing nukkad natika, rally with poster and slogans. The NCC Day, the World AIDS Day, the Voters Day, the Human Rights Day, the Republic Day, the Independence Day and the National Yoga Day are celebrated by cadets at the unit level or the college level. Cadets also participated in awareness campaign about the COVID-19 pandemic in their localities. Cadets made aware the farmers through social media about sanitization, use of masks, social distance, Aarogya Setu app and washing of hands so that this pandemic could be avoided.
